Getting started with DICE

So, you’ve downloaded DICE – now the fun starts. Here are some ways to get the most out of the app, beyond simply searching for events and booking tickets.

Connect your music library

DICE serves up personalised event recommendations to match to your tastes, and the more we know about the artists and genres you like, the more relevant the events on your feed will be.

Just connect your Spotify or Apple Music – here’s how

Follow your friends

Going out is a social activity, and your DICE experience should be, too. Follow your friends for recommendations of shows you might both enjoy, and to see what events they’ve saved or bought tickets to. You can also invite them to shows without leaving the app – just go to the event page, and tap the Invite friends icon.

To follow your friends, head to your profile in the app, tap the square under your name that says Friends, and send a follow request to anyone on your contact list who uses DICE.

Keep up with your favourite artists and venues

Following doesn’t begin and end with friends – you can follow your favourite artists and venues, too.

Is there a band you try to see every time they come to your city? A club where the lineup is always spot on? Or a theatre that books your favourite comedians? Search for them and tap Follow on their page to be the first to know about events and special offers.

Get into sold-out shows

Our wait list feature gives you the chance to buy tickets to sold-out shows from fans who can no longer attend. It’s a simple process that all takes place within the app to ensure you never pay more than you should for a ticket – no drama, no rip-offs. Here’s how.

Save events

Need a little more time to decide before buying tickets? Just save the event by tapping the Heart icon, and we’ll send a push notification and an email reminder closer to the date (we’ll also notify you if tickets are running low).

Set reminders

We often add events to the app when they’re announced, before tickets even go on sale. To make sure you don’t miss a show that’s likely to sell out, set a reminder (go to the event page and hit Remind me) and we’ll send you a text just before tickets go on sale, so you’re ready to pounce as soon as they do.

Send tickets to a friend

Once you’ve followed your friends, you can also transfer tickets to them – whether that’s because you’re going to the event and arriving separately, because you can no longer attend, or just because you’re nice like that.
